Martyn Fowdrey
Martyn has recently retired from an illustrious 22 year career with the Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery, his final post being the Chief Equitation Instructor. His resulting in-depth knowledge of the mechanics and psychology of attaining the best from human and equine students is now being put to good use at Woodside Farm. Drawing from his own experience of injury Martyn has developed a unique approach to the 'Rebalancing' of Horse and Rider. This applies the principles of core stability for the rider to develop an effective and independent seat and also exercises to encourage the horse to find and maintain it's own balance.
Martyn is also a qualified Flair & WOW saddle fitter something he has found to be very influential on the age old problem of poorly fitting saddles. He has found that the appropriate use of these saddles can considerably influence the way of going of the horse and rider.
This has proven particularly useful in the rehabilitation process of horses with muscular spasm wastage. He has also had considerable success utilising subtle changes to the saddle to correct otherwise irresolvable rider imbalances.
Please feel free to contact Martyn direct to discuss any matters relating to his unique approach on 07894 629 181 or by email.
